These exquisite Hindu art prints masterfully communicate the universal language of the heart, and symbolize our own divinity.

They were painted by highly devoted artists trained in creating images, which emanate divine love and devotion. Krishna is one of the most beloved archetypes of the Divine Self: joyful, attractive, transcendent and ever-blissful. People adore Lord Shiva who is the perfect yogi, destroyer of sorrow and ignorance, and representative of supreme consciousness. Many other beloved deities are found here.

Krishna is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu the Preserver, one of the great Hindu divine trinity. He was born with bluish skin, as are other incarnations of Vishnu. As a small child in the community of Brindavan, India, Krishna was known for his playfulness, his charm, and his love of butter, which he could always get to no matter how it was protected.
His divinity was also obvious: once his mother, looking into his mouth, saw there the entire universe. With the other children he took care of the cows, leading them to pasture each day. Growing into maturity, he became a slayer of demons and was widely sought for his enlightened counsel. He paired with Radha, his feminine counterpart, and theirs was indeed a divine and joyous marriage.
The Bhagavadgita, one of our most revered spiritual works, depicts the time when the years long conflict, depicted in the epic Mahabharata, was about to culminate in a true "mother of all battles". Arjuna, a noble warrior of one side, had accepted Krishna's offer to be his charioteer, but didn't want to go into battle. Krishna's words to him are the essence of the Bhagavadgita. (The poster above, KAP, depicts a scene from this battle.)
Krishna is also known as Krisna, Govinda, and Gopala.
